Medication – Duloxetine

Duloxetine, sold under the brand name Cymbalta among others, is a medication used to treat a major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Fibromyalgia, and Neuropathic Pain.

Side effects:

If you experience some of these side effects, contact your doctor immediately:

  • Allergic reaction (rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue)
  • Blood pressure changes
  • Dizziness and/or loss of balance
  • Fast-talking, excited feelings, or out-of-control actions
  • Rapid, irregular heartbeat
  • Hallucinations or loss of contact with reality
  • Diarrhoea, vomiting
  • Suicidal thoughts or other mood changes
  • Dark urine
  • Unusual bleeding or bruising

Side effects that don’t usually require medical attention:

  • Blurred vision
  • Appetite changes
  • Changes in sex drive or performance
  • Increased sweating
